Sales Tax Holiday, Women’s Network Connection on Chamber Menu

The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce is active on a number of different levels when it comes to providing resources to business people and bringing shoppers to town.

The annual back to school sales tax holiday comes August 1-3. A number of cities and counties in Missouri, including Hannibal and Marion County, will allow merchants to waive the state and local sales taxes on certain back to school purchases.

The chamber hosts its first monthly Women's Network Connection Thursday, August 21 at Java Jive. The purpose of this new program is to connect and empower chamber members through leadership development and educational opportunities. The speaker for this get together is Cindy Haun of the Hannibal Free Public Library.

The chamber's next Business After Hours is also August 21, to be hosted by F & M Bank and Trust from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
