Five Arrested for Shoplifting at Quincy’s Best Buy

(QUINCY)—Five Springfield, Illinois, residents face shoplifting charges following their arrests Monday evening.

Quincy Police say they received a call about several shoplifters at Best Buy at 6020 Broadway at 8:51 p.m. A witness reported seeing four people taking electronic items. A witness also supplied a vehicle description and a license plate number.

Illinois State Police stopped the vehicle near Pittsfield. Police say 25-year-old Starlette Higgins, 22-year-old Alexia Robinson, 21-year-old Willisha Brown-Joiner, 30-year-old Sylvia Harris and 34-year-old Leonski Higgins were taken to the Adams County Jail on felony theft charges.

Police say numerous electronic items were recovered from the suspect vehicle.
