Quincy Best Buy Store to Close in October

Officials with Best Buy announce that the decision has been made to close its Quincy store.

A Best Buy spokesperson says the company decided not to renew the lease on the store, which expires October 28th.

The Quincy store opened in the Prairie Trail Shopping Center in 2007. It’s reported that sales at the local store never picked up after the 2008 recession.

The store has 28 full time employees who will be offered positions at other stores or will get severance packages.
