Adams County Health Department officials Tuesday reported the county’s fifth COVID-19 related death.

The latest fatality is a male Adams County resident in his 70s.

Officials also reported 12 new confirmed coronavirus cases Tuesday. They include seven females age 20s to 50s and five males, age zero to 70s.

The latest numbers bring the COVID total in Adams County to 447, 99 of which are active.

Ten are hospitalized who are in their 50s to 90s. Two of those are in intensive care.

 

There has been a new confirmed case of COVID-19 reported in Pike County, Illinois.

Health department officials there reported Tuesday the latest case is a male in his 20s who is isolating at home.

Close contacts are being identified and will be asked to quarantine for 14 days from their last contact.

This brings the total number of COVID cases in Pike County to 14. Three are active and 11 have recovered.

Officials also report 12 people are in quarantine and over 1,500 people have tested negative.
