Officials announced Friday that, beginning September 13th, the health department’s COVID-19 testing center will only be able to serve Adams County residents.

An increase in demand and less stable allocations of testing supplies as the reasons for the change.

If you want to be tested for COVID at the health department, you will need to bring a photo ID with your current local address or other proof of Adams County residency.

If you want to be tested and are not an Adams County resident, you should contact your medical provider, pharmacy or local health department.

The Adams County Health Department wants to remind residents that children need to be up to date on their required immunizations for the school year before October 15.

The Adams County Health Department is accepting walk-ins for all vaccines Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:15pm.

The health department will also be offering an immunization clinic on September 14 from 5:00pm-6:30pm at Rooney Elementary School’s Back to School Night.
