Fatal Car Crash in Lewis County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Lewis County Police responded to a fatal one-vehicle crash on US 61 1.5 miles South of Canton.

The incident occurred early this morning (Feb. 14) when the vehicle of David L. Uppinghouse 65 of Quincy ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and an embankment. Uppinghouse was not wearing a safety device. He was pronounced dead by Lewis County Coroner Larry Arnold.
