Four Lewis County juveniles are hurt, one seriously, in a one car crash on Lewis County Route B at the Canton city limits at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports the driver, a 16 year old male from Canton, was southbound when his car ran off the road and became airborne. The car then struck the ground, went up a levee and became airborne again before coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver suffered moderate injuries. One of his passengers, a 17 year old female from Maywood, was seriously injured. Two other passengers, a 15 year old male from Canton and a 17 year old female from Lewistown, suffered minor injuries. They were all taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.

The crash report indicates no one was wearing a seat belt.

 

A Center woman suffers moderate injuries in a single vehicle crash on Highway 19 south of New London in Ralls County at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Jordyn Evans was northbound, overtaking a semi when she lost control of her SUV. Her vehicle ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Evans was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
