Farthing Gets Probation for Shooting Rifle in Residential Neighborhood
A Quincy man gets probation for the shooting of an AR-15 in his neighborhood last August.
45 year old Jamie Farthing was sentenced to two years probation Friday after pleading guilty in December to reckless discharge of a firearm.
Farthing is alleged to have fired a rifle on Evergreen Drive West, causing damage to homes and vehicles.
Farthing will serve 30 days in the Adams County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $10,517 in restitution, undergo a substance abuse and alcohol evaluation and receive a mental health exam, along with completing recommended treatment.
