Dump Truck and Mower Collision Injures Shelbyville Man

(SHELBYVILLE)—A collision involving a dump truck and a riding lawn mower at 3 p.m. Monday along Shelby County Route AA southeast of Shelbyville results in moderate injuries for the mower operator. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 52-year-old David Farrell of Shelbyville attempted to cross the road on the mower and pulled into the path of a dump truck driven by 19 year old Jeffery Young of Shelbina. Farrell was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
