A fire early Wednesday morning heavily damaged a vacant home south of Shelbina.
A post on the Shelbina Fire Protection District Facebook page says the alarm came in at 3:44 a-m. The vacant structure on Monroe County Road 284 south of Shelbina was fully engulfed in flames as fire crews arrived. No injuries are reported.  Fire crews were on the scene for about an hour. Firefighters from Paris and Madison assisted.
