(Chariton  County, Mo)-- The Missouri Highway Patrol reports a suspect is arrested in connection with a murder that took place over the weekend in Chariton County in North-Central Missouri. 

Authorities arrested 26 year-old David Weil of Brunswick, Missouri on Sunday for the second degree murder of 45 year-old John C. Piper.  The Missouri Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control says the investigation is ongoing.

Learfield News reports the incident  happened early Sunday morning in the small town of Brunswick. A member of the victim's family says he was stabbed to death by his son.
