Insult was added to injury Saturday night, as the Hannibal Hoots' losing streak reached six, and they were on the wrong end of a no-hitter, losing to the Danville Dans 8-0 at Clemens Field.

Dans' starting pitcher Stephen Washilewski and reliever Will Klein gave up no hits, walked just two and struck out 15 Hoots batters.

Meanwhile, Danville scored twice in the first on a walk, a hit batter and a two-run double, added single runs in the second and third, broke the game open with three in the sixth and added a tally in the eighth.

The Dans improve to 12-7, while the Hoots drop to 4-14.

Hannibal's home stand continues Sunday, as the Springfield Sliders come to town, with a 3:05 first pitch at Clemens Field.
