The Hannibal man involved in a vehicle chase that led to a police involved shooting last January has been granted a change of judge.

The Courier Post reports DaMark Rudd appeared via videoconference in Marion County Circuit Court before Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd Monday morning. Prosecutor David Clayton made the request for a change of judge. Rudd’s attorney agreed, and Shepherd sent the request to the state for reassignment.

Rudd has been charged with two counts of assault of a law enforcement officer and one count each of resisting arrest and property damage.

Rudd is alleged to have led Hannibal Police on a chase through the downtown area. During the chase, off duty HPD Sgt. Darrin DeLaPorte fired his weapon, wounding a passenger in the vehicle.
