Culver Stockton College President to Retire Next Year

The President of Culver Stockton College has announced her retirement.

Kelly Thompson told the Culver Board of Trustees Friday that she plans to step down from the school’s presidency at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

Thompson has been at the Canton school since 2014.

During that time, there has been a 30 percent increase in enrollment, a new fully funded residence hall has been built, and women’s lacrosse, Esports and master’s programs in education and athletic training have been added.

Culver officials say a national search for a new president will begin this summer, with plans to have a new president in place by July 1st, 2020.
