In an update sent to students and staff Wednesday, officials with Culver-Stockton College announced their commencement ceremony in May will not take place.

In the update, college president Kelly Thompson said there will not be a traditional commencement on May 16th. He said graduating seniors who have completed their required coursework will receive their degrees, and some kind of celebration will be planned.

All spring semester classes at Culver will be completed online, and all students still living on campus will have to vacate all residence halls by Friday.

This is all part of the nationwide effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
