Crash on US 24 Northeast of Quincy Claims 4 Lives

A collision involving a nursing home van and a grain truck on US 24 east of the Illinois 96 junction claims four lives.
Illinois State Police say two residents of Timber Point Healthcare Center and two employees died when their bus crossed the center line and collided with a grain truck. Authorities identify the fatalities as 57 year old Gay Ivey…85 year old Shirley Gooding… 63 year old Dennis Kadow and 71 year old Sally Stoermer. The collision occurred around 3:15 p-m. Clean up and investigation work kept US 24 closed in that area for several hours.
