The Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri handed out over $136,000 in grant money Thursday.

In a ceremony in Central Park in Hannibal, foundation officials handed out 46 grant checks to a variety of area non-profit organizations.

The grants support a wide range of charitable purposes, including human services, youth programming, arts and culture, health and mental health, food security and education.

The list of grant recipients range from the Boy Scouts and Camp Point Historical Society to the Western Community Center YMCA and the YWCA of Quincy.
