Meckes Named New CEO of Community Foundation

A Quincy native is the new Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation.

The board of the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri announced Friday that a three-month search resulted in the naming of Catherine Bocke Meckes as the foundation’s new CEO.

Meckes has been with the foundation for nearly five years, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer.

The Community Foundation builds permanent charitable funds to assist area non-profits and communities.

Since 1997, the foundation has awarded more than $6-million dollars in grants to causes, organizations and communities in a twelve county area of western Illinois and northeast Missouri.
