Charges against a Quincy man in connection with a stabbing incident last Wednesday have been officially changed to first degree murder.

Alex Koehler was arrested Wednesday after 56 year old Robert Owen was found in Koehler’s home on Payson Avenue with his throat slashed. Owen died of his wounds over the weekend.

According to Adams County State’s Attorney Jon Barnard, charges against Koehler were officially upgraded to first degree murder Monday morning.
