Aside from a chance of rain Monday, the last week of January is expected to be a nice one in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

National Weather Service forecasters say a good chance of rain moves into the area around midday Monday, with a lesser chance of rain Monday night.

Clouds are predicted to hang around Tuesday, then those will mostly clear out, leaving sunny to partly cloudy skies until a slight chance of rain pops up Sunday.

High temperatures start in the mid 40s, dropping to the mid 30s Tuesday and Wednesday, then moving upward through the 40s Thursday and Friday, topping out in the low 50s Saturday, then dropping back to the low 40s Sunday.

Lows will bounce around the 20s through Thursday, rising to the mid 30s Friday and Saturday.
