Terre Haute Rex 5, Hannibal Cavemen 4

(Hannibal, Mo)--The first home run of the 2013 season for the Cavemen put them within striking distance of the Rex Saturday night, but in the end, they fell short.  KHMO Sports Director Bill Shuler had the call...

"The Cavemen trailed 2 to 0, but tied the game with a couple of runs in the 4th inning on a 2-run single by Michael Duarte.  Hannibal took the lead on a double by Damon Waller in the 5th, but the Rex plated 3 runs in the 6th...Hannibal cut into that lead in the 7th, with one out and Kyle Kuck at the plate...Kuck flies it to deep right field...WAY BACK... it's the first Cavemen homer of 2013, hit over the Pepsi sign near the wagon gate at about 390! 5 to 4 in favor of Terre Haute, but that's all the Cavemen could get."
