A hearing to set a trial date for a Hannibal man accused of two shootings and a homicide was continued Thursday.

35 year old Timothy Brokes pleaded not guilty in April to charges of assault on a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action and hinder prosecution of a felony in Monroe County Circuit Court.

Brokes has also been charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in Marion County.

Brokes is alleged to have killed 30 year old Brittany Gauch, wounded her husband, 32 year old Aaron Gauch on January 12th and wounded Monroe City Police Officer Travis Pugh the next day.

Also in jail is 34 year old June Smith of Hannibal for hindering prosecution of a felony. She was traveling with Brokes at the time of the shooting of Officer Pugh.

Brokes’ hearing to set a trial date and Smith’s status hearing in Monroe County will now take place July 7th.

Brokes is in the Marion County Jail on $2-million dollars bond. Smith is free on bond.
