Body Found in Hannibal Area Identifed

Authorities say a deceased male found last week in a wooded area in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in Hannibal is a missing Beardstown man.

Marion County Coroner Darrel McCoy says 57 year old Donald Hardwick was found last Friday morning. He had been reported missing from Beardstown by his family earlier in the week. A suspicious vehicle report led to the discovery of the vehicle and the body. An autopsy has been performed but results won’t be available for a few weeks. An investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the death continues.
