Bethel Man Dies in Pedestrian-Semi Crash Early Friday

A Bethel man is dead as the result of a pedestrian versus semi crash on Highway 61 north of Marion County Road 407 at 1:08 a.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 43 year old Jeffrey Hutcherson of Bethel ran into the roadway and was struck by a southbound semi, driven by 63 year old Alan Wilson of Miami, Missouri.

Hutcherson was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Rick Jones.
