Assault Charges Follow Pike County MO DUI Crash

A December 18th arraignment is set for a Bowling Green man accused of being involved in an injury-related drunk driving crash.

21-year-old Matthew Jerome Myers is charged with five felony counts of assault.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by Myers ran off the road and hit a tree early the morning of July 26th. The accident happened on a county road west of Bowling Green.    Myers and five passengers had moderate to serious injuries. A trooper reported a strong scent of alcoholic beverages in the car. The suspect allegedly admitted to having had eight to 10 beers.
