Anabel Boy Injured in Sledding Accident

(ANABEL)—An Anabel boy is recovering from moderate injuries after his sled struck the side of an SUV.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by 39-year-old Theodore Harrell of Anabel was northbound on Olympic Avenue three miles north of Anabel when a sled ridden by 10-year-old Rudy Borntrager of Anabel hit the passenger side.

Borntrager was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Macon for treatment following the collision at 4:05 Sunday afternoon.
