Amanda Perry Charged in Wednesday Shooting

A Quincy woman makes her first court appearance Thursday morning in connection with the Wednesday shooting of a Quincy man.

34 year old Amanda Perry was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Amanda Perry is alleged to have shot 43 year old Michael Perry in the face at a residence at 1135 Vermont about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Michael Perry was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of what was described as a serious gunshot wound. He is expected to recover.
