Juvenile Arrested in Quincy Shooting

A 16 year old male juvenile is in custody following a July 19 shooting in the 900 block of Payson Avenue in Quincy.
The juvenile is charged as an adult with aggravated battery with a firearm. Quincy Police say the charge is a mandatory transfer to adult court. The juvenile is held in the Adams County Youth Detention Center. Police say their investigation indicates this was a dispute between the

16 year old and a 14 year old male who was shot in the head. Police arrived to find the 14 year old conscious and alert. He was treated and released at Blessing Hospital.
