Alleged McDonald’s Robbers Waive Preliminary Hearing

The two Quincyans accused of robbing a McDonald’s last month waived their right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Adams County Circuit Court.

29 year old Joseph Miller and 30 year old Valerie Thompson are both charged with robbery. Miller is also charged with aggravated robbery.

Miller is alleged to have entered the McDonald’s at 1301 Broadway September 25th, demanded money, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran.

Thompson is alleged to have helped Miller before and after the robbery.

Miller will be arraigned October 17th. He is in the Adams County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Thompson’s arraignment is set for October 31st. She is free on bond.
