Illinois State Police say a roadside safety check last week netted only one arrest.
District 20 officers conducted the check from the evening of Wednesday, February 13 into the early morning hours of February 14th at Illinois 57 and I-172 in rural Adams County. There were no arrests for DUI or other alcohol related violations and there were no arrests for seat belt violations. Troopers say the roadside checks are designed to keep roads safe by taking DUI offenders off the road. Funding for this extra enforcement comes from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
