3 Hannibal Residents Arrested Following Traffic Stop
A Monday night traffic stop on Center Street in Hannibal results in the arrest of three Hannibal residents on drug charges.
Officers with the Hannibal Police Department’s Anti Crime Enforcement Squad initiated a traffic stop near Fifth and Center at 10:21 pm. Police say the vehicle continued east and parked at a residence in the 300 block of Center. Officers observed occupants making suspicious movements upon being stopped. The resulting search turned up a substance believed to be methamphetamine, open liquor and what is believed to be marijuana. Police say 34-year-old Jessica Charlton was arrested for possession of meth, three municipal warrants and a felony Marion County warrant for possession of methamphetamine. 34-year-old Jason Cheadle was arrested for open liquor and a municipal warrant. 35-year-old Robert Karlinski is charged with possession of marijuana, open liquor and on a municipal warrant. Charlton was taken to the Marion County Jail. Cheadle and Karlinski are free on bond.
