Wrongful Death Suit Filed in Case of Vets’ Home Resident

Another wrongful death lawsuit has been filed as the result of the 2017 death of a resident at the Illinois Veterans’ Home.

Court records indicate that Matthew Dehn filed suit against the home in connection with the death of Valdemar Dehn in October of last year.

Matthew Dehn’s suit blames negligent maintenance of the home’s water system and infrastructures, causing the outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease as the reason for Valdemar Dehn’s death.

Valdemar Dehn was diagnosed with pneumonia, was hospitalized last October 8th and died four days later.
