If you stayed at a certain Missouri destination, you need to be aware there is a serious health alert connected to it as there are 3 confirmed cases of a deadly pneumonia that appear to have originated there.

I saw this alarming report by KFVS 12 in regards to 3 cases of Legionnaires' Disease which all have one Missouri address in common. They report that the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has confirmed that Roaring River Lodge and RV Park, 23359 State Highway 112 in Cassville now has 3 cases of this dangerous pneumonia strain connected to it.

Legionnaires' Disease is a very severe form of pneumonia which can cause infections even outside of the lungs in the heart and other parts of the body. The CDC says that symptoms will normally appear between 2 and 14 days after exposure and include:

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Headaches
  • Muscle aches
  • Shortness of breath

They also say that confusion, diarrhea, or nausea can be an indicator of infection. In worse case scenarios, lung failure and death are possible from this disease.

The KFVS report says 3 people were confirmed with this deadly pneumonia 14 days after they stayed at this Missouri resort.
