1 Legionnaire’s Disease Case Reported at Quincy Veterans Home

Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and the Illinois Department of Public Health are investigating a single case of legionnaire’s diseases in a resident at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.
A press release says the resident has received treatment and is recovering at the Veterans Home. Other residents are being monitored for respiratory illness. IDPH infectious disease staff are working with the facility to collect information and further investigate the resident’s illness. The most recent case of Legionnaires disease at the Illinois Veterans Home was in February of 2018.
