An Adams County Grand Jury was in session Thursday, looking into the recent Legionnaire’s Disease outbreak at the Illinois Veterans’ Home.

The session included an appearance by three attorneys from the office of Attorney General Lisa Madigan.

After the hearing, the attorneys would only confirm that they are with the Attorney General’s office.

Madigan’s office said earlier this month that it had launched an investigation on whether Governor Bruce Rauner administration broke any laws in its handling of the outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease at the veterans’ home.

At least 13 people have died and dozens more have been sickened by the disease at the home since 2015.
