Wombles Found Not Guilty of Residential Burglary

A Quincy man was found not guilty of residential burglary at the end of a two-day jury trial in Adams County Circuit Court Tuesday.

23 year old Spencer Wombles, however, was found guilty of the lesser charges of theft and criminal trespass to a residence.

The jury deliberated for about two hours before reaching the verdict.
Wombles was alleged to have broken into a home in the 600 block of South 19th Street in August of 2016, taking cash, a bottle of liquor and a suitcase.
