A Wisconsin man faces burglary charges in Lewis County.

Sheriff David Parrish says deputies were called Saturday to a residence in the rural Canton area. The victim reported someone tampered with a vehicle and also entered the occupied home. During their investigation, deputies located 42 year old David Gensler of Black Root Falls Wisconsin an eighth of a mile south of the residence. Deputies say Gensler was found in possession of items taken from the residence. Gensler is charged with first degree burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle. He is held in the Lewis County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.
