The internet can be a tremendous tool when used correctly. However, this is an example of why the information super-highway can also be trouble. It used to be that you had to go into a brick-and-mortar store to purchase diet supplements. Not anymore. There is one specifically that has reportedly been ordered online for delivery in Missouri that contains an element that can kill you.

The Food and Drug Administration just issued an urgent recall of a product from the company G.A. Mart. The FDA says they contain the "Presence of Yellow Oleander (Thevetia peruviana), a Poisonous Plant"

The products from G.A. Mart are called H&NATURAL TejoRoot and H&NATURAL Brazil Seed Dietary Supplements and the bottles look like this.

The urgent FDA bulletin says that "Ingestion of yellow oleander can cause neurologic, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular adverse health effects that may be severe, or even fatal. "

If you have purchased this diet supplement online and taken delivery in Missouri, you should throw them away immediately.

What symptoms should you look for?

The FDA says symptoms of trouble can include "nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, cardiac changes, dysrhythmia" just to name a few. You can report any adverse health issues you're having through the FDA's online form.
