Illinois State Police say the body of a woman reported missing earlier this week has been found.

Police say the body of 69 year old Mary Lou Anderson was found this (TH) morning in a wooded area. Crime scene investigators were called in and were on site at midday. Anderson was last seen late Tuesday afternoon walking on Rim Road.


An Endangered Missing Person Advisory has been issued for a Quincy woman.

According to the Illinois State Police, 69 year old Mary Lou Anderson was last seen walking on Rim Road at the intersection of Maas Road near State Street east of Quincy about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say Anderson suffers from depression and could be armed with a 9mm handgun.

Mary Lou Anderson is a white female with brown hair and blue eyes. She is five-feet-four inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white or light gray short sleeve shirt and dark shorts.
