United Way of the Mark Twain Area Opens Fund Drive
Ceremonies Wednesday evening officially kick off the United Way of the Mark Twain Area’s annual fund drive. 545-thousand dollars is the goal. Joel Dant is the campaign chair for this year. Former Hannibal Mayor Roy Hark was introduced as the campaign chair for next year. Executive Director Frank Detillo says the kickoff is the first in a series of events. The United Way Radio Auction is coming up October 1st on KHMO. Detillo says the auction includes 396 cases of Progresso Soup donated by General Mills. Cookie Way Days are also coming up during October's Folklife Festival and Restaurant Days are also coming soon.
