A man and woman from Iowa face charges in connection with a car chase that ended in Clark County Wednesday night.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, 24 year old Jacob Haage of Montrose took a Cadillac Escalade for a test drive from a car lot in Fort Madison Monday.
After the vehicle had not been returned 24 hours later, police were notified.
Keokuk Police tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle Wednesday night, but Haage refused to stop, leading police on a chase that ended in Alexandria just before 11 p.m.
Haage and his passenger, 32 year old Nicole Duncan of Keokuk, were arrested for possession and delivery of a controlled substance. Haage was also charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.
A subsequent search of a business in Kahoka revealed methamphetamine and drug related items commonly known to be used for distribution.
