Two Hannibal Residents Arrested for Breaking Into Vehicles

On Saturday, January 24, officers of the Hannibal Police department arrested Blake D. Roberts, 17 and Heather G. Carter, 17, both of Hannibal, on charges of Felony Theft, Misdemeanor Theft and Property Damage.

The charges stem from the investigation of several vehicle break-ins which had occurred throughout the same day. Roberts and Carter had broken into several vehicles, removing items including credit cards, cash and clothing. Both Roberts and Carter were placed on 24 hour holds at the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, pending warrants.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
