Two Hannibal men face firearms charges in connection with a shooting incident over the weekend.

Hannibal Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Market about 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

Officers arrived to find an unoccupied vehicle that had been shot multiple times by an unidentified male who fled from the scene wearing a dark hoodie.

The owner of the vehicle, 46 year old Johnny Ricks, was located by officers in a vehicle in which he was a passenger near the area and taken into custody. Ricks is a convicted felon and was in possession of a firearm.

Then, on Monday, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Chestnut, recovering a firearm belonging to 39 year old Antone Hoskins, also a convicted felon.

Both Ricks and Hoskins were taken to the Marion County Jail. Both men are charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. Hoskins is also charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

Ricks and Hoskins are being held on $25,000 bond each.
