Two men are arrested in Hannibal Friday as the result of separate narcotics investigations.

An ongoing investigation by Hannibal Police into the sale of heroin resulted in the arrest of 37 year old Chivas Brown for distribution of a controlled substance, along with a Ralls County warrant, also for possession of a controlled substance.

A separate investigation into suspicious activity in the 1200 block of Lyon resulted in the arrest of 44 year old Marcus McGruder of Hannibal on a variety of charges, including distribution of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. McGruder was also held on a no bond parole warrant and a Marion County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Brown is being held on $55,000 bond. McGruder’s bond is $10,000.
