Truck-Train Collision in Pike County Missouri

(Pike Co., Mo)--An Eolia man suffers moderate injuries after a Burlington Northern freight train struck his vehicle at 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning.  Missouri troopers say 40 year old Devlon Walker was northbound on a gravel path near Highway 79 at Pike County Road 209 when he attempted to cross the tracks at an area not designated as a crossing.  His Ford F-250 became stuck in the gravel on the tracks and was struck on the passenger side by a train driven by Ty Glover of Shelbyville.  Walker was taken to Pike County Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
