A Farber man sustains injury Tuesday evening when his farm tractor was hit by a train.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the collision happened shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday when 58-year-old Edward Babb attempted to cross the Kansas City Southern railroad tracks on County Road 541 a mile north of County Road 544.

Troopers say railroad cross bucks are displayed at the crossing. Babb was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.
