Three Hurt, Three Ticketed in Area Weekend Traffic Crashes
One driver is hurt and the other is ticketed in a two car crash at the intersection of Highway 94 and 61 in Adams County just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 65 year old Jane Roberts of Camp Point was northbound, failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a westbound car, driven by 71 year old Prudence Courtois of Loraine.
Courtois was taken to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries. Roberts refused treatment at the scene.
Roberts was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign.
A passenger is hurt and the driver is ticketed in a one car crash on Highway 96 in Payson at 2:33 a.m. Saturday.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 33 year old Michelle Grassmuck of Payson was southbound on 96. Grassmuck attempted to turn east, ran off the road and struck a ditch.
A passenger in the Grassmuck car, 34 year old Charles Bronson, Jr. of Quincy, was taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Grassmuck was ticketed for improper lane usage.
No one was hurt but the driver is ticketed in a one car crash on South 24th Street and Curved Creek at 7:39 a.m. Friday.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 23 year old Katherine Cook of Quincy was northbound on 24th Street, lost control of her car and struck the end of a bridge guardrail.
Cook refused medical treatment at the scene. She was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
A Salisbury man suffers minor injuries in a two vehicle crash on Highway 19 at Highway 154 east of Perry in Ralls County at 9:55 p.m. Friday.
The Highway Patrol reports 66 year old Steven Kruessel of Salisbury was northbound, attempted to turn left and struck a southbound pickup, driven by 33 year old Randy Jurczyk of Mexico.
Kruessel was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
