Three Hurt, One Seriously, in Friday Area Traffic Crashes

A Fulton woman suffers serious injuries in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Monroe County Routes D and Z southeast of Paris at 5:42 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 19 year old Maria Rains of Fulton was northbound, attempted to cross Route D and was struck by a westbound truck driven by 18 year old Andrew Hayob of Marshall.

Rains was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

A Vandalia man suffers moderate injuries in a vehicle-pedestrian mishap on Pike County Route M south of Curryville at 9:45 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 29 year old Ashley Griffin of Vandalia put her SUV in reverse and struck 36 year old Jules Eoff, also of Vandalia.

Eoff was taken by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur for treatment.

A Philadelphia man suffers minor injuries in a one vehicle crash on Route Z north of Monroe City in Ralls County at 10:55 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Johnathan Bates of New London was northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer and his pickup ran off the road.

A passenger in the Bates truck, 18 year old Alexandria Harrison of Philadelphia, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
