On Thursday morning (July 30) officers of the Hannibal Anti Crime Enforcement Squad and the Special Response Team served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Chestnut St.

During the course of the search, officers located and seized substances believed to be marijuana, crack cocaine and heroin.

Two Hannibal residents were arrested and placed on 24 hour holds at the Marion County Jail. 36-year-old Shawn M. Troy was charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest. 31-year-old Mary D. French was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Also taken into custody was 15-year-old Hannibal juvenile, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The juvenile was released to the Juvenile Justice Center.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
