Hannibal Police Make Multiple Drug-Related Arrests
Multiple drug investigations by Hannibal Police result in the execution of search warrants and a number of arrests Tuesday and Wednesday.
Members of HPD’s Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad searched a residence in the 1800 block of Chestnut Tuesday, seizing cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana. As a result, 31 year old Brian French of Hannibal was charged with delivery of a controlled substance. French also has a warrant for obstruction in Pike County, Illinois. He is in the Marion County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Two females who were taken into custody were released pending formal charges.
A search of a residence Wednesday in the 3500 block of James Road revealed fentanyl, heroin and marijuana.
23 year old Keeley Smashey and 37 year old Nicholas Powell, both of Hannibal, were arrested on a variety of charges, including possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Smashey and Powell were released pending formal charges.
A third search warrant executed in the 1700 block of Chestnut Wednesday resulted in the seizure of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Adam McAfee was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child and a municipal warrant. McAfee was also released pending formal charges.
